PHPA is short for Partial Hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide, also known as the 3rd cohesion agent. It is a linear water soluble polymer, molecular formula being CONH2 [CH2ch] n, and molecular weight between 5 to 22 million. PHPA appears as white or colorless granule, viscous gellike, odorless, neutral, and is soluble in water.
